Inspired by Dr. Albert Barnes's unconventional arrangements of art, the Barnes Ensemble is the institution's first contemporary music ensemble, and will be launched as part of the Barnes's fifth anniversary happenings throughout October.

Witness history in the making as the world-renowned JACK Quartet, together with twenty young fellows selected from around the world, gather in Philadelphia for a nine-day festival of open rehearsals, performances, and initiatives with nearly 1,000 schoolchildren, all culminating in the highly anticipated Barnes Ensemble performance debut on October 8.
