Led by classically trained composer/pianist JooWan Kim, the 10-piece orchestra is comprised of MCs/lyricists Do D.A.T. and Sandman, a soprano, winds, strings, funky drums, and piano. EMN will be performing songs from critically acclaimed second album, The Future of Hip-Hop, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts commissioned re-imagined hip-hop classics, an ESPN commissioned “California Soul” deconstruction as played during the network’s 2016 NFL Super Bowl programing, and more. EMN has been featured on Wall Street Journal, NPR, SF Chronicle, SF Weekly, OZY, and more.
